the Avenue of Medicine to Minister the Gospel of Jesus"
4801 Apple Valley
Court Dear Friends & Family, The Lord has been good to us. We are truly thankful for the opportunities God
has given us to fulfill his purposes through missions. God continues to bless
the work in Nigeria. I was fortunate to take Dr. Lamar McNew and Lauren
Dittfurth with me on my last trip in August. Dr. McNew was with us for 2 weeks,
during which he helped with about 25 surgeries and taught an Advanced Life
Support Class for Obstetrics to some of the local doctors and midwives. What a
tremendous gift this was. Lauren is a high school student who has a call on her
life to plant a church. She jumped in with both feet and began to meet with the
staff and assist in surgery and shadow us in consulting with patients. We were
fortunate to minister in several Nigeria churches through song, testimony, and
preaching of the Word. A number of people were saved, while others were
encouraged and some counseled. We ended our trip with a total of 35 surgical
cases being accomplished. God gave us remarkable recoveries on a few of our
patients just to let us know He was close by. I was able to look through the items we shipped last year, and I was
encouraged to find things either put to use or awaiting my direction to do so.
Much organizing of the medical supplies is needed to make it easily accessible,
but what a blessing to have it within reach. I want to thank all the people in
CA and TX who took part in shipping several containers to us. May God richly
bless each one of you in ways only He can. Some people and groups that continue
to support us in these areas are Dr. DeVonne Wartel and her church body, Dr. Harold Harder with Blessings International, Pastor David
Sell of Pleasanton Community Church, Mr. Eddie Adams and those at United
Missionary Services who assist him, as well as Sunny Okorie of Solid Rock
International. We have been truly blessed by their support. Our next trip to Nigeria is scheduled for the second week in February for
another 3-4 weeks. I’ll be taking a few of the resident physicians I’m teaching
here in Bryan with us. We invite you to pray about coming or tell someone who
may be interested. If things work out with a new airline carrier, we will be
able to get there in almost half the time and half the cost. The whole trip
including lodging and food would run about $1500. We continue to look for the
necessary funds to start the HIV clinic/hospital. Please pray that God would
make a way. Numerous people are contracting this disease unknowingly. Tobago was blessed this year as several teams were taken in to minister the
gospel and medicine led by Drs. Haywood Robinson & Noreen Johnson. Our General
Overseer, Dr. Earl Bledsoe visited on the last trip and was instrumental in
assisting with a grant proposal for 3 projects totaling about $250,000. The main
project being a mission clinic in Charlottesville. May God continue to bless
this work mightily. Please let us know if you have interest in joining in on one
of the Tobago trips, trips are scheduled for mid-January and March for 7-10
days. Thank you again for your prayers and support of this ministry. Keep looking
to heaven, for your redemption draws near. May you rest in the shadow of the
Almighty. Your Brother & Sister in Christ, Stuart & Velvet Quartemont
