"Using the Avenue of Medicine to Minister the Gospel of Jesus"
MISSION NEWS - DECEMBER 1999

We serve a great God! The Matehuala, Mexico Outreach was a success. We saw 360 medical patients and prayed for each individually seeing some instant results to prayer, especially in the area of pain relief. We gave about 50 more people vitamins and flue vaccine. Most of the people we ministered to were already Christians, but more than 50 unbelievers were saved during the clinics. We had nightly revival meetings in the local churches. Three clinics were held in the city of Matehuala and the other 5 clinics in the ranch villages surrounding the city where Pastor Simon Reyes has planted churches. He has been ministering for 30 years and has 30 churches that he oversees. He, his wife Cookie, and their children have truly labored for Christ in this area. We were blessed to assist this worthy ministry. We were also blessed to have 11 people on the team that came from 5 different churches stretching from Spring, Texas, to New Braunfels, Texas. The Lord blessed us at the border again, where we received the green light and did not have to pull out our bags and explain the several suitcases of edicine and vaccines. Thanks for all your prayers. I know God was alerted on our behalf.

Our next trip is planned for March 2000 when we will take the mission school (Aldersgate school of World Mission) on their practical outreach to Owerri, Nigeria, where the hospital and bible college are located. We plan to do a week-long clinic and crusade in a needy village and plant a church, which one of the bible college students will become pastor. We will be there for five weeks and would love for you to join us, even for a week or two. The all inclusive cost for about 2 weeks will be approximately $1700.00. If you have interest in this trip, please contact us anytime before the end of January, and we will get more specific information to you.

Please note our address change, We have moved this passed year and are still receiving a significant amount of mail addressed to our old Navasota address or P.O. Box. Our home officiates MMI. The new address is 4801 Apple Valley Court College Station, Tx 77845-4430
Thanks so much for your attention to this matter.

We thank God for another wonderful year in missions. God was so faithful on both of our trips to Mexico and the trip to Nigeria. Many people went for the fist time and were challenged to do more for Christ, and some are looking forward to going again soon. We anticipate a great year to launch the new millennium. We are planning at least two trips to Nigeria and Mexico this year. We are also planning to bring our whole family to Nigeria for two months in the Summer. We want to thank each of you who have supported MMI with your prayer, gifts, or service. We have been so blessed by the faithfulness of each of you to the service of our God.

In Jesus love and service,
Stuart & Velvet Quartemont

May God richly bless you all in this Season of our Savior and throughout the New Year!
